Our Story

We were standing in line at the airport when I noticed a man in front of me wearing a backpack with Joshua 1:9 boldly displayed on a patch. I’m not usually the type to strike up conversations with strangers, but something about that verse tugged at me. I tapped him on the shoulder and told him how powerful it was to see him wearing his faith so openly.

That simple moment sparked a conversation about Jesus right there in a crowded airport. Others nearby took notice. What started as a quiet nudge turned into a public declaration of faith.

Later, my wife and I talked about how incredible it was that something as simple as a patch could open the door to sharing the Word in a place you wouldn’t expect. That moment planted the seed — the idea that clothing could do more than make a statement. It could start conversations. It could share hope.

And that’s how Forged in Grace was born.
